    OK,

    All you Countryman owners..... :)

I have an 11 Countryman and now the 2016 Park Lane too.

I had this problem before, today I had it again.

Why oh Why is the design of the MINI license plate bracket in the rear such a PITA to use properly?

What license plat bolts, screws and types have people been using?

Have you had to drill thru the plastic rear bumper to get a proper bite with self tappers?

I am looking for a better solution, so please post pictures of your nuts! And bolts.....

I wanted to put a grill badge holder, license plate and a frame and could not get enough depth or bite.

    IMO MINI made a POS.

    Don

Don I really don't know how the plate goes on the butt of the Countryguy. All I know is whatever fastener you use make sure it is stainless steel.

It is screwing into plastic, so we shall see, stainless is nice. If I use a carbon fiber license plate frame, then I will have to use a black screw or bolt or whatever.

At my next appointment/2nd date I think it will be complaint time at the local dealer.

    Thanks guys, even you "Nathan".

    :)

Hey, I only found out today that this originated in The Treasure of the Sierra Madre in 1948.

    Colour me innocent.
