Here is the question I asked Mini...

Comments: I went to my local dealer where I purchased my Mini asking for touch-up paint for rock chips. This is for a 2015 Countryman, I was told they did not have any and Mini no longer produces it. Is this true?

    The response:

    Hi Paul,
    >
    > Thanks for writing MINI regarding your 2015 MINI Cooper S Countryman. I'm sorry to learn that you're having a difficult time obtaining Light White touch-up paint.

As touch-up paint isn't available on www.shopminiusa.com, we suggest :mad2: MINI dealer to inquire about the availability of touch-up paint. The parts manager has the expertise to assist you and are eager to share their knowledge.

I didn't think that asking MiniUSA if they still make touch-up paint would be difficult to answer

And MINI wonders why sales are down in this country.

    MINI customer service sucks.

Go to a local body shop paint supply and they can custom mix any color you want. They just need your VIN.

It will also be cheaper then the MINI parts counter.

The other option, because your dealership sucks, is contact eMINIparts.

Imo you might want to explore "other options"....it kinda sounds like your dealership is pretty scary.... honestly i can't fathom a dealer that doesn't have TouchUp paint, even a 3rd party brand for customers....guess they want to "discrouge" diy activity's?!

At quick glance the touch up paint pens look to be a fairly inexpensive setup for minor paint repairs.

I used them on my MINI. Perfect no, but it does the job.
