Our traditional first-of-the-year Meet-n-Eat is at the Wig and Pen Pub on the Coralville Strip in Iowa City on Saturday, January 23rd. We'll congregate between 10:30 - 10:45 am at the restaurant (in the parking lot on the east (UI campus) side of the building) with lunch planned for 11:00 am. This will be a great opportunity to nail down our planned major events for 2016 and to share any ideas you may have for the upcoming motoring season. You can RSVP and give us a head count (thanks to the cool MA calendar!) by clicking the link in the EIM Event Calendar Entry (<--link). That will allow the restaurant to adequately plan for our gathering. You'll also find the restaurant contact info at this link. They've accommodated separate checks in the past but it's always good to have cash on hand just in case. All weather permitting, of course. With the ongoing El Nino, our odds are good. ---
The wig and pen is still open? Damn I loved that place, their pizzas used to come with a pound of Lipitor and 25% off your first coronary artery bypass....I lived in Coralville for 4 years 1994-1998, I loved Iowa City...
Angel won't be able to go to this since she has to work. But My Brothjer Lunchbox might be in town and I might bring him along and see if I can't get him bit by the MINI bug. Since I'm 50/50 on it, If I can't make it I'd like to Nominate "Crusing for Camp Courageous" as a planned event.
Here is a link to my photos on flickr: https://flic.kr/s/aHsksCaXDY Sure was a good time! Jeremiah brought not one but two shiny new models from Willis Auto! And TasmanianBlu brought a lovely surprise with him! I don't think I was the only one wiping a little drool from the corner of my mouth:biggrin5: Good friends, good food, good time!
You are 1/2 right...... The color is correct :biggrin5: Here's a hint.......Look for the add ons that have "black" in their description.. Oh .... and by the way.... NICE pics Linda!
Silly me...it's a new F54. The mirror caps and side scuttles should have been a dead giveaway (not to mention the familiar IA tag under the rear doors). Congrats! Hope it is treating you well.
They did try to send me home with the F56 that Mia drove. I didn't think I needed the JCW track exhaust which was a $3300 option. Although it was neat and you activated it with a remote control button. It is treating me well but not sure about the flip side of that..... story to long to to post here.
