This year's BSD heads north for another skirmish with those Gophers to the north and those Badgers to the east. The planned route is designed to have a healthy mix of superb Spring scenery and fun (i.e., twisty) roads. Specifically, our drive starts at the Decorah Trout Hatchery in Decorah adjacent to the world famous Decorah Eagles (the hatch is usually in early April). Rendezvous time is 9:00 am. The route heads north into the heart of Bluff Country with a lunch stop at Elsie's in Caledonia, MN. After lunch, the drive heads east to the mighty Mississippi and then south along the cliffs (and an occasional excursion into them). After a couple of planned stops at scenic overlooks along the route, we finish off with a 4:30 pm stop at Breitbach's Country Dining in Balltown, IA. Please see the attached Driving Directions for the route description and waypoint times, links to the restaurants, and also a link to a detailed Route Map that includes turn-by-turn directions for the full route. Looking forward to some actual motoring. :ihih:
With any luck, I'll be installing some parts this weekend. Have fun everyone! I'll see some of you for the Black Hills trip :cornut:
Looks like Sue and i will go up the night before. Just to avoid a very early and long morning drive. We are looking forward to it.
