...and thank you Mike, for starting up our official planning thread for MITO '16. Unless I'm mistaken, after only two days we may already have our minimum of five reservations at the Brackenridge to get the 10% lodging discount. ----- Some food for thought: - In past MITOs, most of the EIM gang have limited their registration to the basics (e.g., event, t-shirt, grill badge) and avoided the organized dinners and group drives, both as a cost savings and a preference for "doing our own thing" for destinations, drives, and meals. In no way should that discourage anyone from signing up for additional, event organized activities if that's what they want to do. There are no rules. - I've attached the official event schedule for MITO '16. Note that the group photo and sunset parade through Eureka Springs are both happening on Friday after 2:00 pm instead of on separate days. That frees up Saturday for a full day of Ozark Mountain motoring. Maybe a trip down to Mt. Magazine via the Pig Trail, and returning via AR-123 and the Jasper Disaster? :cornut: Here is the MITO 2016 Registration Page if/when you're ready. The registration deadline is probably sometime in mid-September (but not sure, so I'll keep you posted). This is a fun planning site too...see Page 9 for the big picture: https://issuu.com/arkansas/docs/2016_arkansas_motorcycling_guide ---
One idea for a big Saturday drive: MITO Magazine Mountain Drive There are lots of options for tweaking this too. :arf:
Our room at the Lodge is reserved! Signed up at the MITO site. No swag for me. I figure if I change my mind they will probably have some badges and such available there.
For those transiting down to Eureka Springs together on Thursday, we'll go with the traditional 8:00 am departure from the BP along IA-27 in Ainsworth. Be there or be square. :arf:
Photos from our fun times in the Ozark Mountains... https://flic.kr/s/aHskKehdXK The combination of roads, scenery, weather, and companionship set a standard that'll be hard to beat.
