thinking of getting some new stripes for teh Precious (Precious is the name of my MINI :) ) I've been toying w/ the idea of getting some 'cut-out' style stripes for the hood w/ the MINI heartbeat:

MINI is in my Blood - MINI Cooper Vinyl Decal

essentially stenciled out of the stripe. I just found this today, and while i like the idea, i might incorporate the design of them into what I'm thinking.

    MINI Cooper Racing Stripe Hood

My issue is that as far as I know, my stripe pattern is unique, check the garage, not at home where I can post up a better photo. so while what I'm thinking may still be unique, i'm not sure if white cut out stripes on the body, and black on the roof doing the same, then back to white on the boot will look good with this idea. However right now, the boot is naked.

    Thoughts?

    Other ideas?

thought of that, but im to used to bonnet stripes, having none there would be weird. the ones on the bonnet now need to go soon, they're yellowing and one has a thin crack. it's just figuring out what i want..

Go w/o the hood stripes. Everyone loves a naked bonnet.

No stripes owner here and love it.

It makes your car more unique because everyone else has stripes.

I had the bonnet strips like yours, white over black. I took them off and I like the look better.

The only thing is the paint under the strips was much better than the rest of the hood. So be prepared to do some polishing.

Or, you could opt for a brilliant design such as these. Err, aah, this...

I always say do what you like at the moment with vinyl. You can always take it off and go another route. Pretty cheap if doing install yourself. More and more are using that first design on their window or dash so for me that would be a turn off, but as long as you like it that's all that matters.
