Many of you may have seen our Clubman at MOTD in May, but I figured I would start a thread with some pictures showing the process/progress. It has been a lot of fun and we continue to play with it as inspiration hits.

Here are the latest updates to the LEGO MINI. Someone had mentioned we should add some colored "bricks" and we decided we needed a new front vanity plate.

The colored bricks really make it stand out now, in a good way.

New shoes for our Clubman - actually, we took the wheels and run-flats I had on my R53 and switched them over to the R55 since Cindy liked the X-lites better. Also, the run-flats give a little more piece of mind when she is running around with the kids. Hers were nearly worn out and mine were only about 8 months old.

As for me, I got new Yokohama rubber and ordered a new set of wheels that will be in next week. For now, I am running her old wheels, but my new ones are going to look awesome on my car. I'll post pics once they come in and get installed.

I am sure you are paid by Lego for this "mod"????
If not, they are so lucky to have you for free:D

Nope, no compensation. Just a house full of LEGO lovers! We did contact them to make sure we wouldn't have any legal issues, but we did it for ourselves and not for advertisement purposes.

Am I the only one that's going to ask, Why are you doing this? Free advertising for Lego? I'm sure they appreciate it, but what are you, 12?

I have to ask the same thing. I can understand having an obsession with Legos. I used to love them as a kid too, but unless Lego came to me and said, we want you to represent us using your Mini Cooper, there is no way I would do this to my car. Even my kids wouldn't approve.

To each their own I guess..

    My neices would LOVE it!!!
No different then adding stripes and all the little "MINI saying" all over your windows.
(There is a car club in town that they all have a candy bar, or soft drink logo on them. Now at some point the company may not like you using their logo's of course..)
The Lego idea is great.. I'm sure the owner gets alot of  as they drive around and THAT is what it is all about...
