I just wanted to put it out here and say thanks to one of the site’s sponsors, thanks Mr Doug for an awesome product. I ordered a custom SS shift knob about a week ago and can say I was impressed with the whole process. For any of those individuals that are debating a new shift knob, don’t sit around too long, you and your MINI will be missing out.
'Bout the only folk who know what Bravo-Zulu means are those who spent some time upon the raging sea. Care to elaborate?
Doug is awesome and makes an awesome product... I've had one of his knobs on all 3 of my MINIs. Make sure to post a pic when you get it
Bravo Zulu is a naval signal, typically conveyed by flaghoist or voice radio, meaning "Well Done"; in addition to U.S. naval forces, it has also been used as part of vernacular slang within NATO and other Allied naval forces. It can be combined with the "negative" signal, spoken or written NEGAT, to say "NEGAT Bravo Zulu", or "not well done". Interesting.
I was wondering how many eyebrows were going to raise when seeing this. I wasn't trying to confuse anyone, just trying come up with a diffrent way of giving kudos to Mr Doug. 26 years in the Marine Corps.
Well I think I finally took a picture you might be able to see. I tried so many different light conditions, brought it in the house a few times, wife thought I was trying to keep it warm, quite the ice cube first thing in the morning.
↑That's AWESOME!↑ Gir was so funny. I have several seasons of Invader Zim on dvd. I'm gonna sing the doom song now....
