I just bought my first MINI...a 2011 Cooper S Coupe with only 21k. Loving it so far, but having trouble linking my phone. There are the buttons on the steering wheel for phone and the talk symbol one, and another phone button on the stereo control panel. When I go to the setup menu, all that is displayed is comp and config...no phone setup like the manual shows. Is it possible that my Cooper is not equipped for the phone link, even though the buttons are present on the steering wheel and stereo controls? Thanks in advance...Chris
It is very possible that the buttons are there and you don't have Bluetooth. I had the same issue in my first Mini, a 2012 Clubman. You might be able to get it retrofitted but I doubt it.
Have a dealer run your VIN and see if you have Bluetooth. If the set-up menu doesn't show it I doubt that you have the option.
