Does anyone out there have a 24XX or higher, who cal tell me how to change the stupid state? Yes, I have downloaded and read the manual, such that it is and all it says is "You may have to change the state or province". Period, end of instruction. :mad2: Jim
MM, I do live in that state and I want to leave. Scott, MOTD and nothing else of value, is in PA. That is why I want to change it. :nonod: Jim
Sorry Scott, I thought you were joking. To enter an address, where you want to go, you have to first change to the state it is in, then enter the address. Mine is stuck on PA and I can't figure out how to change it to MD or NC. My old one had a field to do that, but I can't find it on the new one. Jim
OK, I figured, so here it is, for what its worth. Hit Address Hit bottom tab marked "County or Country" Then hit tab "Change County or Country" Enter USA (Isn't PA in the USA?) In the "County" screen, enter the name of the state you want Then it changes. Now that is not exactly what I would call "user friendly", but I guess it means that PA is NOT in the USA, which I always suspected. Jim
Well, I guess I should give my thoughts on the Garmin 2460, since I have it figured out now. Large 5" size, which I really like. The display is much sharper then my 760, speaker is louder, the screen layout is much better (to my liking) and has some very nice features. The voice command really works well, the gauges (using the HD) are nice, which lets me clean up the dash by not needing the scan gauge anymore. This one lets you have four screens down the right hand side, compass, elevation (not sure why on this), time and mph. Turns, lane and distance are in the top left. Center left is a small circle with the echoRoute leaf and a number. The leaf turns green when you are conserving fuel, yellow and then red when not. This is fun to play with, but would be of no value to the JCW owners. Now that I know I can get good "country fried steak" in Ohio, I give this device two . Jim
OK, OK. Try this. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcR1J4Di1WA]Garmin nuvi 2460LT review‏ - YouTube[/ame] Jim
