So, I have this rather large SS oil catch can and a rather small MINI engine compartment. Where exactly am I going to mount this thing?

    OK.....
I don't want to remove my stock air filter box to make room.
I don't want to relocate my radiator overflow tank.
I don't want to hang the can from the flimsy plastic tab holding the alarm switch on the firewall.
I don't want long hose runs connecting the can to the PCV track.
I don't want to hang it outside on the scuttle like the air filter on a semi truck.
I don't want a catching can on the front bumper.
Justa Jim likes filing cabinets, Sorry.... not on my MINI.....

Here is a pic of the OCC
    3" diameter x 7" tall

Sounds like a long hose to the boot is in order... :)

Hang it on the outside, like on the scuttle, it'd look kind of like the air filter on semi trucks!

Mount it on the front bumper for that old 60's gas'er look. Now I know why MINI wants to use 3 cyl engines, so there is room for the catching can....

Just weld the CC to the base of an old coffee thermos and stick it in your cup holder! :biggrin5:

:cornut: Flimsy plastic tab on fire wall has been holding my BSH OCC for years and thousands of miles. Nothing was moved or deleted. She sits there snug as a bug in a rug. Short ingress/egress hoses also.(08 R56 MCS/JCWm)
