:cornut: Just a thought to all 'in the know'. Just supposing that MINI Margi(08 R56 N14 MCS/JCWm) drops a valve through the top of a piston and the computer fries at the same time. But Jason has $10k or so in the bank and loves that little car. Does He:

    1. Switch out to a Tritec engine system(if possible give reasons, guestamate cost, and feasibility.)

    2. No Jason, it's much easier and cheaper to get another N14 engine.

    3. Other suggestion

    Thank Y'all,
    Jason

:cornut: Nathans vote is if you love it that much leave it in the drive way to look at and find an R53 to rebuild/play with.

    Thanks Nathan,
    Jason

As long as you take care of your MINI it will run as long as you do Jason. Just remember to eat walnuts & kerfuffle. :D

Do the walnuts and the kerfuffle have to be mixed or can they be eaten separately?

I would like to hear Dave O. weigh in on this. I think he would advise you stay far away from an R53 :lol::lol:

Jason, put MINI Margi(08 R56 N14 MCS/JCWm) in the garage and pick up an R53.

You can build it up and beat the S**t out of it and it will ask for more.

If you add the soul of an R53 to an R56 you will just have a great running car that's just butt ugly.:lol::lol:

Its best if you use them to make a smoothie. Add a little pineapple and maybe some blue berries.

If you switch, do you intend to use Mobil 1 or Castrol?

The Flux Capacitor is not the power source. What you'll actually be needing is a Mr. Fusion. Remember, the Flux Capacitor needs 1.21 GIGAWATS!

    Detail, details.

Just put all of that in there with a CAI, 1,000,000cc injectors, a good tune, and be done with it.

Not sure of the smog laws in Texas? But here in Kalifornia, that wouldn't fly, never pass smog. You can't even replace a engine here with all electric, still wouldn't pass emissions  "Where do I stick the sensor in?"

I'd look for an N18 engine, it makes more HP, better valve control with double vanos, better fuel economy, no issues with timing chains or burning oil etc and it will fit right in with no modifications. The N18 engine is all aluminum, so it will be lighter than the supercharged engine too.

:cornut: Thanks so much every one. These days laughter is the best medicine and this crowd can dish it out with a spade and a smile and still they get their message through after I get back into my chair from rolling on the floor.:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
