I've had my 2005 JCW for a couple of months and the call up and continue cruise control button has always been a little squirrely. Sometimes when I press it, it will not resume speed.
It developed a new "quirk" recently, or maybe I just noticed it If I hold it down for several seconds (around 5) the cruise control will completely cut off and the indicator will go out. If I press the activate/interrupt/deactivate cruise
control button, the indicator will flash a couple of times, then go out.
What is odd to me is the fact that if I shut the car off and restart it, it works fine.
Any ideas what this is and how to fix it?
    Thanks!

Just curious, when was your battery replaced if at all?

    rum4, thanks for the bump.
Nathan, I'm not sure, I've only had the car a couple of months. If the battery was replaced, it should be in the documentation. (PO kept everything!) I'm at work now, but will check when I get home.
