I found paperwork in the car from the PO.
They had an alignment done at an unknown shop.
Did all jcw come with the lowered suspension?
I went to a friends shop and looked at his alignment computer.
It lists cooper, cooper s, and jcw.
I'm unsure the shop that did the previous alignment has the correct specs.
The strut towers are mushroomed up. I plan on massaging them back and putting on the m7 strut tower plates and doing another alignment.

As you know with the mushroomed towers the alignment will be off and probably can't get it back to spec till you address that... I can't help on the differences if any for the factory spec between models..

    The Craven plates are better.

    Why..

Craven is a US company that makes their own stuff in their own shop. They make good stuff, not farmed out to China. They support the community all the time.

Oh, and they are good people too.

I may just put the studs on, hammer the towers, install the tower plates and cruise parts..... Then just drop it off at the dealer.
They can do an alignment, program the cruise and new key, all at the same time.

That is exactly what is did when I first got my MINI.

When you use a BFH to get the strut tower back in shape use a 2x4 and it will not leave hammer marks. :cornut:

    ^^^^^ + 1

On the subject of M7 Strut Tower Reinforcement Plates, though, I can say that the ones I have on all 3 of my MINIS have never failed me. Of course, my first set went on in 2005, the second set went on in 2006, and the last set went on in 2013 when I found a used set here in M/A for my wife's S. Except for her car, I have tracked and done the twisty and MOTD things with my other 2 cars. As I stated earlier, not once have those plates ever failed me OR my cars.
