I want one! The last GTI I owned was a 1983 that I purchased new.

83 That was a nice car! My only complaint with them was one kept beating me in my class in autocross. I had a X1/9 and always won my class till this dud showed up in a GTI.

Neuspped had all kinds of performance goodies for early GTI's that I sucked sucked up like a sponge. My mods included engine, exhaust, suspension, wheel and tire stuff. I lived in So Cal at the time so my favorite haunts were Mulholland Drive through the Hollywod Hills and Angeles Crest Highway above Pasadena. Ahh...to be young again!

LOL.......same with my '78 Sirocco. Lots of Neuspeed stuff on it.

Mine was an 84 I purchased new. My first brand new car. Came out of a hopped up Beatle. The GTI was amazing. Didn't go the Neuspeed route. AutoTech was my weakness. Lived in Palm Springs for a time. The road up the hill out of Palm Desert was my favorite haunt.

'91 GLi with tons of aftermarket goodies. Finnicky as all get out, but when it ran, it ran like mad. That thing was so fast and so fun...I definitely miss it.

Gorgeous GTi! Looks like an awesome canvas for your modding mania.
