Tough years, those mid 90's.

The C4 ZR-1 models are actually collectible. I've driven some, and they are nice to drive. I thought it would lead to the end of the pushrod vettes, but sadly, it didn't.

All the motors for the C4 ZR-1s were built by Mercury Marine. You can still get a copy of the actual dyno sheet for every ZR-1 motor they made. They dyno'd every one they ever made. The Corvette Museum has them IIRC.

A friend wanted a new C4, he finally got the money and when he went to test drive it, his head stuck up above the windshield, he was really crushed. He ended up buying a Volvo.

I can't drive mine with a helmet unless I use the glass top or no top. The fiberglass top w/headliner makes me have to cock my head to the right about 45º. Didn't discover this until I was at the drag strip one day and found that if you run 13 or under you have to have a helmet.
