So a couple of months ago my MCS had to go in for the cold start rattle and I received a Cooper One D for a loaner.
Fist impression, very nice! seats did not compare to my MCS sport seats but the car was a nice solid car. since the handling and controls are basically the same I will leave all that out.

The little diesel engine is where the One D excels, TORQUE is a blast in this thing!! the engine is fairly quiet, really smooth and sips the fuel. I think I averaged about 42-43mpg for the day. Max speed was 118mph but not computer limited, that is just where it runs out of steam. I had was really impressed with the pull this little engine had, it just jumped from a start and liked doing it.
I felt like I would have to add a 2k lb. trailer to get this thing to take off slow.

I can't wait to drive the JCW D when it comes out!!

Was that "mpg" David. Honestly, my justa gets 42, so I thought the "D" would be way better.
