It’s not a secret anymore that MINI sales are plummeting and that the company should be looking for a way out of this situation. However, the solutions they come up with are rather... interesting, to say the least. Japan will soon be getting two limited edition models: a Countryman and a Paceman to raise the brand’s popularity. In a country where key cars rule due to the humongous crowds that have to make their way thorough the town every day, a brand like MINI should fit right in. Well, that might’ve been the case some 30 years ago but it’s definitely not anymore. And that’s especially true when it comes to the Countryman. good luck with that. There is a reason the Tata is made an available to most of the world. COST!!! What the heck is a special edition Paceman going to cost!!!!
So 150 total units are going to turn the company's fortunes around ?? Interesting ... Very interesting indeed.
Why a special edition? I have never seen a car brand with so many special editions. The sad thing is there is nothing really special about the majority of them, it is usually all cosmetic and they’re usually pretty freaking ugly.rrr: Why only in Japan? My experience in Japan did not lend itself to driving big vehicles. The Countryman isn’t huge but I would consider it a road hog over there, definitely not the average size vehicle. A lot of side streets around the cities are as about as wide as a single lane here. IMO MINI needs to stop wasting time and build the Rocketman!
