    But the third pedal in the newest generation may as well not be there... zero feel/feedback from the clutch.

    Maybe if Dave's freckled ginger is just what he says, that could well account for a limp pedal

    I do agree.

    We need fresh gingers around here to keep the anti-sewing society growing.

    BMW calls that "refinement"....
    I say if I wanted a car that FEELS like a lazy boy chair in a living room, I would have bought a caddy....give me feedback!!! Same for steering....

    Ugh, refinement.

    I used to think that's what I wanted in a car. Then I spent a bunch of money trying to make my car unrefined again. :lol:

    And then I said screw it, and just bought the most unrefined R56 I could.

    "These days only about four percent of new cars overall are sold with three pedals, so Mini shoppers are keeping the stick-shift flame alive."

    +++++++

    You gotta be F'n kidding me! This screams car for the masses - big, squishy ride, plush seats, focus on "econo-formance" (aka mpg) kind of design. I'd love to see a comparison between models by manual/auto sold. I've driven an auto -- there's no comparison.

    You're complaining about the seats?

    The sport seats in the F56 are bloody-****ing-tastic. Extendable leg supports, meaty bolsters, what's not to love?
