JCW the everythings.... It's no longer special.... The original mini JCW was not spread over all the offerings.... it was only the hardtop coupe... AND it was only a manual.... For cripes sake... Try to stay true to form at least... Next up a the MINI GP3 Wagoneer.... MINI, you've lost control of the rudder.... Don't be offended folks... IMHO...
Much like AMG, //M, Superleggera, GTS and others JCW has become a trim level for expensive "Sporty" version.
Agreed. But I got there before you I felt that way when MINI started applying the Cooper S model designation to everything they pumped outta the factory. Cooper S convertibles, Cooper S estate cars, Cooper S crossovers, etc. I don't see that slowing down.

FWIW, having now experienced the new Clubman in person... It will be a better alternative to the Countryman. And expect to see an All4 version offered after the initial launch, too.
I can see the future.... The JCW will eventually be regulated as though it were a paint code... Someday people will exclaim in wonderment... The ultimate unicorn... "I just saw a real Justa Cooper"
I know the new Clubman isn't real "mini", but take that away for a minute and I like it. For a small wagon it's not bad. The larger proportions make the style look better. Porsche sells Cayenne diesels to sell the Cayman and 911
Something about the name Porsche and the word diesel just doesn't work well in my brain.... They are fighting each other.... Not sure which is winning....
I agree the JCW name is getting out of hand. I kind of like the design of the Clubman but those tail lights are fugly
