Have you seen this car? STOLEN from the parking lot at Motoring Magic between 6 pm Friday June 5th and 11 am Saturday 6-6-15. If you see this car please call the Ventura county sherriff department 805-494-8260 or Scott at Motoring Magic 805-496-2300
I would share, but California is a long way off and I don't think it's going to show up in Maryland. You know they used to hang horse thieves, to bad they still don't, I consider our cars as horse replacements. Some find the practice repulsive, I think it's fitting. Oh and plea bargaining is repulsive to the victims of car theft or any other crime I can think of. Yeah, I'm a hater of car thieves.
RECOVERED!!! The MINI stolen from our parking lot was found Saturday AM 4 blocks away in a car wash parking lot. The Thief checked it in for a wash and walked away....it traveled only 20 miles total and was unharmed. The owner picked it up Saturday evening and all is well! Thanks for your thoughts and help!
keys were swiped off my check in counter late friday afternoon.......now we have a locked key box and keys are either in it or in an employees hands, nowhere else
Glad it was recovered, but who steals a car just to wash it? A skeptic would think that someone played a practical joke. Glad I'm not a skeptic.
I'm a car thief. I find a nice Mini (in a parking lot full of other Minis). I take it and drive it around. I don't go easy on the gas, because why would I? It's not mine. I drive it about 10 miles out and what would make me want to turn around and drive it back near where I originally got it from? Also, why would I spend any money to wash it? Yeah, I'm a bit of a skeptic.
That..... or some chump saw the keys, couldn't pass up on the opportunity, and swiped them. While he was leaving the scene of the crime, in an expedient manner, he telephoned his copious amount of friends, that are involved in nefarious activity, to see if they would be interested in a stolen MINI. Once the perpetrator realized there is no market for stolen MINI's he ditched it in the car wash..........Hmm, suspicious........
Yes I think a joyrider too. In any case very fortunate that the MINI wasn't dumped & torched. Were the keys in the MINI when found? If not I'd be concerned if it was mine.
