Some of you may know, but Denver and surrounds are having a nice blizzard. Stay safe and stay home or get home soonest safely. Late this morning I had a 30 inch drift in the driveway on a base of about 20 inches of wet and heavy snow. I will wait for Thursday's 50 before I pull out the snowblower. Be happy, Don
I wish I was there. Miserable 'boarding season out here. Started late, ended early and was little snow anyhow. 'Board up, mountain bike down.
Lol....I remember back when I lived in Denver, it could be crazy..... One-time I was out i n steamboat springs....it was beautiful....I was getting ready to leave to fly through Denver in my trusty mettro, hauling ups overnight...got the word Denver was just shut down...called the wife...it was snowing like crazy....got almost 36 inches....drifts over cars, the whole works....by the time I flew in Denver the next night on schedule....it was about 60 out, and the snow was gone...Litterly..a couple small piles left...and that was it!! Remember folks using snowmobiles to run pizza's out to folks stranded on i70 leading into Denver from the plains another time....think they were stuck for about 24 hours.....
Yeah Yeah Yeah.... Just because a certain 4WD Rover was on the scene this year.... Totally different story pre-Rover.... C-Bus had a great snowless year.....
We received 5" here from the same storm and even that amount is depressing given where we are on the calendar. I can't fathom six times that. Stay safe Don.
Which brings up a question: in southern climes, when it's too warm for snowboarding, are you forced to resort to waterboarding? :arf:
Wowza Gary! We just got rain here. About 10 miles north in Center Point they got sleet and ice I hear. So we must have been the cut off for the nastiness.
You guys know that Eastern Iowa is about 900 miles east of Denver which is another Country, right? I imagine Ohio is like being almost in China from the perspective of us folks in Denver. Thanks for the concern, snowblower did a fine job this morning in the sun and the sun is doing the rest. Of course, we are to get some snow on Saturday, again!
might as well be another country with all THAT snow! We haven't had snow on the ground here for along time. Now Gary in Decorah on the other hand...
