    Kickball at the Dragon! (KATD)

We will settle the greatest debate in MINIdom: Which is better [at kickball]... 1st Gen MINI [owners] or 2nd Gen MINI [owners]?

Everyone is invited to play and/or cheer for their preferred MINI Generation. We will have 30 people kick for each team if we have to. It's just for fun, anyway. The winning team gets to declare their MINI Generation "the best", at least until next year!

When: ~4:15 PM on Friday (following the Car Show, but won't overlap the Brew Swap)
What to bring: No equipment needed... but if you want to bring donuts or beer to celebrate every run scored by your team, that may add to the fun!

More details to be added later and subject to change.

Please post up if you're interested!

    Team 1st Gen:
    1.
    2.
    3.
    4.
    5.
    6.
    ...

    Team 2nd Gen:

    2. O2BlueMINI
    3. Uncle Ryan
    4.
    5.
    6.

Good idea. Safe, easy game that even old folks who eat too many doughnuts can play.

I'll be the team manager. You can pay me in cash or donuts.... Play well Jim or you may be traded to some banjo players for a ham & some beans.

I figure we can kick the ball and Hope can run the bases for us. Then all Karol has to do is pitch a no hitter. Nothing to it.

    Exactly...

Any suggestions for how to select teams?

    When should we play?
    -Thursday afternoon?
-Friday afternoon before/after the car show?
    -Saturday after the panoramic photo?
    -Other?

BTW, if you're really want to integrate donut-eating into your team, you could always say that whenever someone scores a run, they have to eat a donut!

Just updated the first post. I'm planning for it to be right after the Car Show on Friday.

Got the kickball and 'bases'. Feel free to add yourselves to the list or post up and I'll add you!

Modified the time to 4:15 and noted that it won't overlap the Brew Swap. I won't be missing that. :D

I assume that's a serious question, since one the British MA's at my local dealer asked me the same thing on Saturday. It's basically baseball, but instead of a baseball, bats, gloves, etc... the pitcher just rolls a basketball-ish sized ball toward the plate and the "batter" kicks it. Therefore, it requires just a kickball and some sort of "bases" to play.

And yeah, this is probably not a big enough draw for people to drive from Vancouver if MOTD wasn't a big enough draw in the first place!
