1. Lack of interest, not many pictures were submitted. 2. Price, I created a quality item, that costs for good paper, cardboard backing. quality printing. Got lots of grief about the price cause others were selling a calendar for 1/2 the price. No one cared that the others came out in Jan or Feb, used cheap paper, lower quality printing and flimsy mailers. Cost of the M/A Calendar was not offset by including advertising like others. 3. Fractured market. Everyone and their mother is making a calendar these days. Zombie MINIs, Pinup MINIs, Shoes and MINIs and others. Plus clubs are creating their own too.
I thought they sold out last year. I have always enjoyed the calendar and was looking ward to 2017, I am sure I am not the only one.
I guess I will make up a Dave.0 calendar for my house so I can see a great looking car every month. This way I will never have see an F56, CountryFail or Club-casket for an entire month.
Yes, it's too late. I didn't arrange with the graphic artist that does the layout, nor was time booked with the printer. I'm also going to be traveling a bit soon too, adding to the difficulty to get things in place.
I had meant to submit this picture for consideration, but it also works well now with the following caption.... "What do you mean there will not be a M/A calendar.....NOOOOOOOOO!" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nope. I've produced calendars before. They are expensive to do well, and are hit and miss on profitability. More "miss" than "hit," IMO. Nathan made a business decision, and I agree with it 100-percent. If MA is on the decline, it is all about the people participating. We, the members, make this thing work, or not. CD
Would be a good looking picture if you had the correct grill on the car. That's an R56 grill not a R53 aero grill. :frown2:
