If you need help organizing a club down there just let us know up here in Columbus. Maybe drive north to one of our breakfasts on a Saturday and we'll get you started.

You're more than welcome to look up Hampton Roads club MINI (Hampton Roads Club Mini - Home) and hang with us. We do our Fall Colors run from Monterey, VA and a good portion of it runs through WV's Pocahontas county.

If you need any help feel free to drop me an email or a PM. We'd love to help y'all out.

Let's set it up late in September or early October when the leaves are changing color.

Sort of a silverbacked or silvercrested leaf peeper getaway. That is a good time of year.

Make sure to go over Gauley Mountain! That is a wonderful road, and the views are amazing. The white water is great also if you have the time for a day in the water.

I agree. I've run the New, as well as the upper and lower Gauley's. That's great country!

Mark we could recycle half of an old Riverrun route to get us down to the river.

Yep, took the New and the lower Gauley raft trip. That was a great time. Stopped on the sandbar and had lunch. Great memories. Used to white water kayak but didn't want to attempt it there. The water action would really change depending on if they were releasing water from the reservoir.

+1, then and when the spring rains and snow melt runs at the same time, the lower is impossible to enjoy. How about "jump rock"? Now there are some real memories from that thing:eek:

Hmm, I found the thread for the WV trip. Ummm, we should get together on a weekend and really talk about this and if we can make it happen. :)
