Well it looks like the MINIs will be getting a new home. Have been busy getting quotes to build us a new 20'x20' garage. Would love to have a bigger one, but zoning will not allow one any bigger, unless we get a variance. Besides a nicer home for the MINIs than the old carport, this will allow me to detail in a more controlled environment, and with some heat, work out there in the winter. The carport, and the shed on the left will go away, and the new structure will start at the center of the carport, and got to where the shed is now. Going to have to reconfigure the driveway some, expanding it onto the grassy area, and make a wider approach from the street. Where the Clubbie is now parked, we're going to have patio space between the house and garage. Hopefully this will all be done by Thanksgiving. I can't waitopcorn: Mark
Wow, Mark, that's going to be great! (Will Lois still see you or are you going to spend all your time in this new man-cave? :devil
Just outside St.Louis, but coming from Manitoba, winter here is more like fall to me:lol: Do have my big boy pants on today though, and ran the furnace this morning to burn off the dust. Mark
No office, just a regular guy garage, but with better lighting:lol: A lift would be great though, but the height to the ceiling will only be about 9'. Folks wonder if I'll move my workshop from the basement, but this will be a dust free zone(well as dust free as possible). Mark
You could always put a pit in the floor on one bay, before they pour the concrete, with steel side rails so you don't accidentally drop a wheel in. Have cover plates made to cover the pit. Sure beats jacking the MINI up or laying on your back. Pretty cheap when compared to a lift.:cornut:
I vote mirrored Disco ball with a multi-colored spot. One light source and it'll spread the light around. Great coverage.
Perfect, I've built a few mirror balls, and if I use a Super Trooper spotlight, I have a heat source when I fire the lamp Mark
Nice, pictures during the build? I do wish I had a side yard to expand my garage, just a wee bit. See what it may take to allow for a lift, that is a really nice addition to any garage. Lots of outlets and good lights, as you noted. :arf: Don
Cool, can I have your old car port? My MINI sits out in the cold, so that would be a step up for me. Jim
