Anybody read the "truth about cars.com" review on the fiat 500L? Came out a couple of days ago... My favorite line "when I first sat down in the car at the hertz office, I could not believe what an utter piece of **** it was"..... Interesting read.... http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2014/06/rental-review-2014-fiat-500l-easy-fwd/
It would be nice to see some shots from different angles. It seems like not only have the Japanese built a better modern day interpretation of the small English roadster, but maybe the Italians as well (just from a looks perspective). The high belt line on the R59 has always killed the look for me.
Mazda is collaborating on a roadster together with Alfa/Fiat to be the replacement for the current Miata. Only mules have been seen so there is no real idea of what it will look like. Will it be more Mazda or more Alfa/Fiat is yet to be known. Lots of speculation on the Miata boards. I'm hoping it won't be an MX-F56.
Well it does look like they both know how to make a good looking front bumper. Just saying..........:aureola:
I like it.....it doesn't look top heavy like the 500C does. But then again what do I know.......I still think the AMC Pacer is the bomb. :ihih:
Here's the source of the OP image: Roadster Abarth : enfin un modèle qui ne dérive pas de la Fiat 500... - L'argus It's a collaboration between Mazda and Fiat. The next version of MX-5, Abarth Roadster, and Alfa Romeo Spider will share the same platform.
We need to be skeptical about these images. It may be a concept created by that website after hearing about a Fiat/Mazda collaboration. We've seen this kind of thing before from automotive websites showing MINI concepts.
Its not bad, but I would have to spring for the Mazda variant... Aint no way in hell I would ever have anything with FIAT written on it in my driveway!
That is just some nice Photoshop work combing a 500 & an MX5. That isn't what will be the final product.
Sometimes a manufacture just has to make a good product.... Give us something we did not know we wanted...even if it does not fit into their product line up...the first mini was revolutionary..... Changes since then have been evolutionary.... if a maker makes a car that simply looks different and adds it to their like up..I'm for it...heck..fiat fan I'm not...but if it was built well...might test drive it...then might make me want to buy it. Think Honda s2000 ....it was so driffent from what folks expected it still looks decent today...and is STILL a good car if you can find one not "used up".....
The Saabaru was the best looking Subaru they ever made. Came close to buying one. They were quite a deal compared to the WRX.
