Well that front end looks a bit better, chin strap versus big azz nose. Could the green be a bit brighter, needs more sizzle. Don
Just for reference, that picture is the old Focus RS.... Pedestrian impact safety could still enter into the new front end.... So to speak....
"Versus big azz nose":lol::lol::lol: AWD Turbo 3 door hatch that will blow the doors of any JCW, ( 310 hp, 320 lb-ft of torque) yup that car is a winner hands down. :ihih: ...the RS is free to pump out between 325 and 350 hp. The higher figure is more likely. This is because as a low-volume, niche product that doesn't compete with the Mustang GT, there's no reason to hold the Focus RS back. Now lets see if it comes in CHILI RED! opcorn::fingerscrossed:
Not that I'm a Ford guy mind you, but if that thing lands on this soil the Chili Red MINI might just be history...
I think it is a 3 door killer of anything in it's segment (STI and mk VII Golf R will be it's main competitors)!
I would buy that in a second, especially in green!! A 3 door hot hatch with AWD? Just show me where to sign.
Ford won't bring the 3 door here. Just like they don't bring the 3 door Fiesta here. The RS is going to have the 2.3 turbo from the new Mustang. So you know there will be tuning parts for it. If they offer the little dealer boost module like they do for the 2 liter hold on. That module for the 2 liter takes tq from 270 to 360. So you could see 400 on the 2.3 WITH a warranty.
2016 Ford Focus RS Spy Shots "While the last Focus RS came in three-door guise only, as shown in the spy shots the new Focus RS will come as a five-door, which makes sense since Ford doesn’t build a three-door version of its latest-generation Focus. The aggressive look of the previous model appears to have carried over for the front section, and this is joined by chunky side sills, a large rear spoiler and a rear bumper integrating dual-exhaust tips and a diffuser."
Oh my... This could get me out of a MINI, if it's done right, and priced reasonably well. That would be a beast on the track.... I've been waiting for this for years. I knew someone who owned a Ford dealership, and told them to put me on the short list if the RS ever came stateside. They've since gone out of business.:mad2: What I'd like even better is a 300HP Fiesta RS, but the Focus would do nicely. Ford has already proven they can do it right, I have high hopes for this.
