It will be the 4 door body style.

I love my wife's ST. I can imagine the RS with all wheel drive and more power would be incredible.

I'll stick with my MINI for now.

It will be 4 door as mentioned. Predictions based on semi-solid, almost liquid in consistency, information: It probably will not have AWD, the car testing on the ring currently, doesn't. It will have substantially more than 300HP. Think along the lines of 330ish, maybe higher.

It should be a flat out rocket, I can't wait to see the final specs.

It may not be so simple to trade the FS in, these are going to be tough to come buy. If you don't have an in, work on getting one....

Nope. 4 doors is two too many, and the same reason I cancelled my order for the VW R.

Never will understand why Ford and Subi doesn't want to carry a 2 door "Tuner Car". That is the main reason I'd not buy one. If I needed a 4 door family ride it'd be something else, and if I want a sporty car it will have just 2 doors.. Sure some of the 4 door ones look nice once modded alittle but imagine what it'd look like with 2 less doors..

Watched the majority of the launch event. Not a fan of the mouth piece it is wearing and a little disappointed that there aren't larger fender flares and brake vents. Interesting to see what the price will be here in the US.

I like the looks of it as far as a 4 door car goes.. They did keep it with AWD atleast, and plenty of power/torque. Question is, will the base price be more then the Mustang GT of $33,000 with it's 435 HP

Yeah it does have some very nice specs 320 HP and 320 Tq but the 4 doors kills it for me.

That's a damn shame. I agree on the front but then it does look better that any new MINI. :rolleyes5:

Subie doesn't even make a 2 door Impreza any more. Ford's North American factory doesn't make the 2 door Fiesta. Importing the one from Europe would make it cost too much.

The RS will cost a lot more so bringing it from Europe works. It's all about the money and affordable 2 doors and wagons don't seem to be "in".

I'm sure it will be higher, an ST2 is just about $30k. But they are two entirely different approaches. Most people won't cross shop them.

Four doors add a little weight, but often stiffen the chassis. I might take that trade-off. How much is this thing going to be?

Just another example to the fact that us the car nuts are the minority when they decide which cars to offer/sell where. Our MINIs come from overseas so why not ship us the 2 door RS with this engine!! I might would be interested in it.. Cost is a non-issue. Just tac on $800 destination charge like everyone else.. Sense I'm not a big Focus fan to start with for the money I'd buy the Mustang GT. That's just me though..

I think it looks good. The ST I drove was fun to drive too. I don't care if it has 4 doors, just more room to hide the body's.
I bet the two door is not much shorter.

Also at least Ford can make a good looking car despite the EU pedestrian laws. Unlike MINI that uses it as an excuse for there lame styling. And why does the 2.0 in the MINI not put out more HP. oh I know we wouldn't want to show up BMW!
