    HAH....

    Well they are wrong....

It's pronounced like that part that's on the front of your house where you can sit and not get wet when it's raining...

    It's pronounced .... "Porch" :D

That's how I say it, when I'm talking to friends who drive Porches.

    It makes them crazy

Hey Dave are you channeling your inner Clarkson? Spend some time in one on a fun road & you may change your opinion if that is possible.

I have driven them and I like them.

    I want a Porsche Cayman S.

I really like the 918 spider.

I have no need for a GT3 RS because I would kill myself in it.

The only way to get a P car out of your system is to buy one. Worked for me about 10 years ago.

Is the Cayman the Karmann Ghia of the porch world? Always liked them & called my '62 the poor man's porch. :D

I've never had the urge to have a porch, there are so many cooler cars out there, like MINIs.

I read a post on this site a few years ago that seemed to ring pretty true. I forget the exact numbers but it was something like: "Comparing a Mini to a Porsche a Mini is 80% of the fun for 20% of the cost".

I was into VW Bugs in the 80's and early 90's. Many Porsche parts were interchangeable.

Like Minis, Bugs were roomier than they appeared, and a lot of fun to drive (though much slower with their 1600 cc naturally aspirated engine). Their wheel base is 2" shorter than my gen 1 Mini.

FWIW, the Helmet is listed for sale over on the MINI Exchange FB page. Once it's gone my garage has room for a Porch.
