Nathan and I exchanged messages over the weekend about this. I'm sharing now with the rest of you.

DO install ad blockers for this site.

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES DOWNLOAD anything from this site. It will tell you that you need Flash HD (you don't) and that you need to update Java (you don't).

The ads are obnoxious, and have deceptive close boxes that are kind of hidden, the blocker should take care of that though. Also, sometimes it opens a really obnoxious popup that tells you that the FBI or somesuch is looking at your computer. It's a lie.

Firefox seems to be the best browser to watch with (for me anyway, ymmv)

The perils of streaming from dodgy sites means a bit more vigilance, but it does work if you're willing to put up with a minute or so of inconvenience.

Given my increasing pessimism about the way F1 is going, I'm thinking of looking for similar sources for WEC, the 24H Series, and other sports and GT racing.

Most of those problems only show up if you don't have an ad-blocker. But as long as Bernie stays firmly rooted in the middle part of the last century for his attitudes on technology, the only way to view live online is to do so shadily.

I'd personally be happy to pay for an official stream, but Bernie is afraid of teh intartoobs. Not luxurious enough, apparently.
