Time is flying by for me lately and I was surprised to notice it's already time for the Le Mans 24H. Well, the race is 18-19 Jun but the test day was yesterday. I'll post what I can about viewing here in the states when I find it. I'm a bit busy these days so others feel free to post anything you find. Meanwhile, here's an unflattering pic of the new Audi. It's only this angle that shows up that odd shape at the front. Not so pretty these days and, IMO, the livery choice doesn't help...
Damn, is the front on the left or right in this picture, butt ugly comes to mind. Will hope it is televised at least in some segments. Don
I believe LeMans is going to be broadcast on FS1. Not sure how much of it though. That there Audrey is one homely girl.
I'm losing my mind. I completely forgot LeMans, my favorite race, is coming up. And, Audi is my favorite team. As for the new Audis being ugly, as long as they are fast, I can live with the ugly. CD
They're not so bad from the front and if you see it from the right angle you can see what is causing that weird high spot and flat outer wall along the outside of the wheel arch. Doesn't explain the logic behind how far forward the arches go or why they want that flat side wall but I'm sure there's a reason that has nothing to do with looks.....
Compared to some of the other cars the windshield is a slot. It must be like trying to see out of an armored car while racing.
TVRacer.com is showing the following on the schedule. It makes no sense to me. 8:30am-2:00pm (L) - FS1 2:00pm-4:30pm (L) - FS2 7:00pm-7:30pm (L) - FS2 10:30pm-2:30am (L) - FS2 All Times Eastern
This (from sportscar365.com) is a little better but it's still all FS1 &2. FS1 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM FS2 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM FS2 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM FS2 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM FS2 10:30 PM to 2:30 AM (June 19) FS1 2:30 AM to 9:30 AM (June 19) *The entire race is streamed live on FOX Sports GO
Since I've cut the cable, none of that works for me. I'll be watching for something through Radio Le Mans, NismoTV or one of the other typical options hoping something (legal) will pop up via stream.
Yeah, I got tired of paying 80 bucks a month for 150 channels, 145 of which I didn't watch. I can get the TV shows I want to watch through other methods (yes, legal), but have not found a way to watch LeMans, as of yet. Honestly, I would pay to watch it live as a pay-per-view event, but can't even find that. I hate it when you can't watch what you want to watch, without paying a crapload of money for stuff you don't want to watch. CD
I'm sure when you are behind the wheel she dances real good. Ugly with a nice personality. Did I say ugly? :eek6:
Ford GT not looking competitive so far: http://autoweek.com/article/sports-cars/chevrolet-corvette-racing-quickest-class-le-mans-24-test-day
The drivers' eyes must be just barely higher than tops of those fenders (or whatever they're called) so some visibility straight ahead and directly to the side but BIG blind spots between.
