Found listed as "photo of the day" by lemans.org. Supposedly the first Cadillac to ever run the 24 hours of Le Mans, in 1950.

Any old timers remember this strange looking beast?

"Owner/driver Briggs Cunningham shared the wheel with Phil Waters and they came a respectable eleventh overall."

Yep, he had that one with the "aero" body and a stock body car, both finished the race IIRC.

If you dig around on YouTube you can find a vid of Sidney Allard and his cars in their pits on the Mulsanne, taken in the days before the race when the road was still open to the public...people in normal cars driving and bicycling by on the road, and the occasional race car screaming past - one of the cars that goes by is Le Monstre!

At the very beginning of this vid you can see the regular Cadillac starting the race - look at the very left side of the vid. I'll dig around and find the other vid......
