I thought he did a great job... showing confidence in his ability with the arm resting on the window and one handed turns. That is exactly how right on target.. and a best practice.. Crazy.. the ending (i.e. event later in the day) sadly is not a surprise.
Some of the first things I do at a track day. Leave the kebobs in the paddock & identify who the wanker's are. On track it is best to eat salty snacks out of a bag. Only bring a drink if you have a very good cup holder.
That's why I hate cars like the GT-R in the hands of noobs on track days. It is also why my first track car was a Miata. In one, you learn the skills to drive a car on the track. In the other, your car makes you go fast in spite of your lack of driving skills. CD
Does anyone know what that moron was doing (or trying to do) with the center screen? I remember bumping my hand into the radio and turning it on by accident. I was so busy/thinking/focused that it took me 1/2 a lap to remember that I had volume controls on the wheel and was able to turn the volume down to mute the music.
That just reminded me, in my Corrado the window button was on the door panel.. right where my knee was. So when autocrossing you have to keep the window down.. the videos of me doing that were funny as window goes up (Knee hits it for auto up).. then down (I reach down and press auto down).. rinse repeat.. needless to say I ended up putting a piece of plastic over it and taped in placed with painters tape when racing.. but it was pretty funny to watch the first video or two.. would post but they are on VHS.. :cornut:
Reminds me of an early morning DE session where I was flagged into the pits because my INSTRUCTOR called a corner worker's decision "stupid" and the corner worker heard it. (It was stupid... I got flagged on the first lap of the session for not letting someone pass and we weren't allowed to pass for the first 2 laps). I wish I had a camera running then!
