I have just removed the JCW exhaust from my GP and have decided to part with this particular piece. It has been on the car for about 35k miles and is in good condition. The exhaust will work with any Cooper S 2006 and older. It plays well with the burble of the MINI and sounds great under acceleration. I am asking the PittStop MINI gang and local MINI owners around the Pittsburgh area first and asking $300 or best offer. So if anyone is interested let me know!
The GP JCW exhaust is the same as the R53 factory JCW exhaust and is a fully welded one-piece system. Shipping would be very costly/difficult as it is about eight feet long and four feet wide. I was fortunate enough to find one locally and have been very happy with it. Good luck with the sale!
The exhaust for sale was removed in two section, but done so that it could be retro-fitted in case the new exhaust was too loud. I was able to get the two pieces into my MINI when done. Blimey...if you are still interested, please email me at: [email protected]
Steve, Hey man, haven't seen you in a while. I'm sorely tempted, but it's just not in the cards. An emergency surgery on one of our dogs just put a serious dent in the budget. ...so what did you put on in its place?
Bought by me. Big UPS boxes on the porch and trips to the powdercoater and an afternoon at the exhaust guru are in my future. Soon.
Thanks Blimey and I will get it out as soon as possible so you can enjoy the burble. MINI2GO...I had a custom straight exhaust with a hight flow Magnaflow muffler installed. Its a good bit louder and lighter, still not as loud as Track Toy but getting there. Also re-worked the battery box to except the straight pipe and went with a smaller and lighter race battery from Odyssey. So, I was able to increase the horsepower and torque along with dropping a decent chunk of weight on the GP. The car is definitely more torquey and feels better ballanced. The new exhaust is not for everyone though. The wife did not seem to affected by it, yet!
Also had a little item installed and will post some pictures next month once the proper people are ready to go full bore next month with promoting their stuff. :cornut:
One-ball has served me well for 3 years... but it's a little raspy and a little droney at some RPMS... and the JCW/ RMW header combos I've heard sound soooooooo sweet. So it's time.
Paul, keep us posted on the progress! i'm one balled ( couldn't find Miltek or JCW at the time) and it will be interesting to know your feelings about the upgrade, thanks boxcars
^+1 I love mine too. Congrats Blimey. I removed the resonator from mine as it was pushing against my B&M short shifter dust cover and heat shield. I prefer the more raspy sound sans resonator. But the 'burble' on a lift gets attention GP Steve - I'd love to see pics of what you put together.
Hello Steve. It's always for sale (JCW exhaust). If yes, how much for one send in Montreal, CANADA. Merci
