This summer there will be not one, but two vintage grand prix events happening that Mini owners will not want to miss. Registrations for both events will be handled by the PittStop MINI Club.

The first will be the British Car Showdown at The Mid Ohio Vintage Grand Prix, on Saturday June 27, 2009. We will embark on our journey early in the morning from the Krispy Kreme Donuts in Cranberry en route to The Mid Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, OH.

Your registration will provide lunch at the VIP tent, PittStop MINI Club car corral parking, and a parade lap around the track. Also Mini is the marque of the year at this year's event. If you are planning to attend please bring chairs, sunscreen, and shade tents if you have them, it will be hot, and there is not alot of shade. It might be a good idea to bring a cooler with water just in case. We will be using 2 way radios during our trip as well as any club communications at the track.

Second we have the 27th annual Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix, located in the beautiful Schenley Park on Saturday July 18, 2009. As in years past we will meet at the West End Overlook in Pittsburgh, and if the weather cooperates, get some great pictures of our Minis with the City of Pittsburgh as the backdrop.

We will again have the Allegheny County Sheriffs Department providing an escort from the overlook to the park. This is one of the most exciting events we hold every year, and one that should not be missed!

Your registration will provide, Coffee, Juice and Bubba's Homebaked Nut Rolls for breakfast, parking on the Schenly Park Golf Course for the car show, catered lunch, a program and dash plaque. We have reduced the cost of this year's event. All we ask is that everyone bring their own cold drinks. Chairs and sunscreen are a must, but tents are not allowed at this event. Our MINI's parent company BMW is this year's marque.

And don't forget that this year, our favorite little car turns 50 years old!

We look forward to seeing you at one or BOTH of these fantastic events!
