Hi everyone, Owned a lot of Porsches - 9 of them so far. Current car is a 2006 Cayman S that is now for sale. You are probably asking yourself why...or maybe you aren't. Bottom line, have two boys in college and we need to clear some space financially. I hate selling that car, I love it. But hopefully it will go to a good home. So how did I come by this Mini? My Step-Dad died on Christmas day (at our house no less). It was a truly terrible day. So I told my Mom I would sell my Step-Dad's Mini, but then I got to thinking...it is a pretty good car and I need to sell my Cayman, so why not the Mini. I can tell you though, it will end up being one hella'va track car. Now I will no doubt ask a lot of questions, but I promise to use the search function first. Most of the time... OK, some of the time. Looking forward to getting immersed in all things Mini. Cheers!
Sorry for your loss which you will remember in your heart and welcome to the addiction and lifestyle that will make you grin like nothing before . . . We want pictures and stories of track days when you have the time . . . Welcome soon to be Mini Attic
Sorry about your loss Glad you found us and welcome to the fun that is MA. No one here will tell you to do a search. So ask away. I have several friends in the Porsche club. I Have tried to show them the error in there ways but they still hold on to their VW's. :biggrin5: Hope you enjoy the Mini, keep us up with how its going
Welcome aboard. I think it is great you keep the MINI in the family. Its a great ride. Like you I have 2 in college so I get what your saying
my mom said that having children was over-rated. i listened. i love my race MINI. they make wonderful track cars. i'm thinking of getting a Cayman for my street car. i drive a truck most of the time, but i'm tired of it as a daily. sorry about your loss, but keeping the MINI is a great tribute. welcome to the forum.
Welcome I admit I love the Cayman, so if you want another MINI I'm willing to make a trade for one of mine.
While I'm sorry for your loss, I cannot help but think your father's spirit has guided your decision to keep the car and to find us here at MA. We'll do our best to answer the questions you have...and we welcome you to the fold.
Thank you everyone for the heartfelt welcome. It really makes you appreciate fellow gear heads. I will be asking a lot of questions. Once I start collecting parts, the fun will start. I will keep you all posted.
