Hi guys, Just signed up to site. Bought my 2003 Mini Cooper S here in France, the previous owner had made some small mods, pulley has been changed on the supercharger (he claims the car is running around 190hp) I haven't verified but in anycase it's good fun to drive!! However I do have some problems/questions to throw out there if anyone can enlighten me :fingerscrossed: First issue : The car is equipped with xenon lights that seem to work fine except for the full beam which is aimed far too low! (in fact it's better not to use them!!) can they be manually adjusted? as I said the main lights are fine... Secondly : Today the DSC and ABS warning lights came on (as did the low tire pressure w/l, untill I pumped up tires and reset it) what could be the problem? I tried the button for the DSC but both warning lights stay on. I would be grateful for any information help you can give me... Look forward to reading your ideas.
Welcome to MA!! For the lights. On the left front a-arm is the sensor that tells the light where to point (up and down). I has a small plastic arm to sense suspension travel it could be broken or maybe it is unplugged. The other problem sounds like a bad wheel speed sensor. Most of the time it is the front left. Have the codes read and try clearing them and see witch ones come back. Let us know what you find.
