    Hi

I brought a Mini Cooper One 2014 plate for my wife. Last night I had to go to her assistance as the car would not go into gear. Previously it showed no signs of clutch wear. I was wondering if this could be a hydraulic problem rather than a problem with the clutch itself?

Welcome to MA. That sounds like a problem with the clutch slave cyclender. If it has let go when you push in the clutch it will not disengage so you will not be able to put it into gear with the motor running. If it were a bad clutch is would slip under acceleration.
