New to the forum so dropping a hello to the members. We bought an '06 Cooper S Convertible about three years back and have really enjoyed it, so now I'm starting to look at some minor changes and mods. Looking to replace the aftermarket wheels with R91's and a few performance mods such as a crank pulley, etc, to squeeze a little more zip out of it. Thanks again and have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Welcome to M\A but don’t change the size of the crank pulley just add a 15% supercharger pulley. If you upgrade the crank pulley just replace it with the OEM size but buy the ATI Superdamper. Don’t buy a larger or smaller or undampered ALTA \ M7 garbage one. http://www.detroittuned.com/ati-super-damper/ http://www.detroittuned.com/detroit-tuned-15-supercharger-pulley/
Welcome to M/A, a great site and greater people. AND what Dave said ^. Also, a heavy duty rear sway bar will do wonders for your car's handling.
Welcome to M/A! I agree with Dave.O You need to invest in a 15% supercharger pulley to get more oomph out of your MINI. I also added an '06 GP intercooler and a DDM cover. The extra fins make for a real pocket rocket, especially in cooler weather.
Thanks for the warm welcome, and I meant I wanted to get the supercharger pulley. I’ve read enough and agree I’d want the 15%, and thanks for the additional links. Are there any recommended shops in the Central/North Central Ohio area that do these installs? Thanks again! And here’s a pic of the car when we brought it home (happy wife, happy life).
Brilliant!!! It's the correct color AND the top is where it should be. My 4 reasons for running up the top under extreme conditions only: 1. It's raining 2. It's snowing 3. My co-pilot is whinging about being too hot or too cold and I can't hear the SC. 4. A bunch of drunks are throwing beer cans in the back seat and didn't invite me.
