Easy to run and if you stop at the state line you can avoid the chat road, turn around, and do it again. Very close to I40.
Wow............driven (still often do) this road a go-zillion times as this is where I was raised. :biggrin5: Can share many, many Tennessee roads perfect for Mini folks........
I can also vouch for this route- though I do not recommend it shortly after the rain stops in the fall - with wet leaves all over the road
A pic of the approaches to this great stretch of road. It's even more twisty than US-129 in many places, with rock faces and guard rails much closer to the road's edge. First time we ran it, we were a bit disappointed that the tarmac ended just past the NC border...but then realized that it meant we needed to turn around and run it in the other direction.
What a coincidence, we're just back from a MINI road trip to South Central TN. Can also recommend TN 30 and the Falls Creek Falls park. Great driving road, beautiful park with several waterfalls.
