Cam Journal Scoring

Inadequate lubrication caused the cam journal to seize; it was discovered the oil pump gears were cracked and a section of gear missing.

      No, it wasn't inadequate viscosity; most likely a combination of solid crankshaft pulley, high rpm, nitrous, and other abuses, that led to the broken inner gerotor. BTW, not my MINI. Here is the damaged oil pump gear http://www.motoringalliance.com/gallery/data/500/medium/Gerotor_Damage.jpg
