Hi Chuck, not sure if you are on here anymore. I was wondering if you still have the cable for the fes-auto shift light? I found the cd with the program but i can not for the life of me find the usb cable.

      Thanks
      Mr. Jim

Metal man, I saw a post of yours from 2014. You said that the thread count for the receptacle and tow hook for the MINI is an ACME 5/8- 8. You suggested this would be helpful for someone wanting to put a rear bike rack on their MINI. I have a 2017 Mini Convertible. I'd like to put a rear bike rack on my car and I had the bike rack preparation installed when I ordered my car. However, I didn't know the only rack available cost $750.00! that is more than my bicycle cost!! So, I'd like to know if you know if the tow hook & receptacle (the tube the tow hook screws intl) for the 2017 mini convertible is 5/8-8 ACME or if that has changed since 2014. I would really like to know as there are a couple Thule and Yakima rear racks that will work if I can find 2 one foot rods to screw into the tow hook receptacle. Thank you!

Sorry, I just noticed your request....
I don't know for sure if MINI changed the threads in the tow hook mount... Chances are good it's the same...

I use McMaster-Carr for hard to find parts...
Here is their listing for a 2' length of 5/8"-8 ACME threaded rod..

Chuck, I have room in my cabin if you think you can get down to the Dragon this year. I see this year as the last MOTD for me.

The TR4a-IRS was a smooth riding machine! The Independent Rear Suspension made all the difference. The 289 V8 upfront added thrills :-)

Nice.... I especially liked the Kayak collection. In my younger years I used to run white water kayaking on some of the rivers in West Virginia and Pennsylvania..... Great fun! Also liked the Triumph, I had a buddy that had a TR3A and also a TR6, rode like a truck.... Fun cars though...

Metalman: Saw the reference to being in NAM. Check out my "Ride" in NAM, I even got to MOD it with the 106mm.

Thanks, that is the ship I flew on in Nam. Still going strong, 40 years later, both of us.
