Yep - on a 2004 control arm bushings are also a likely culprit.
Sounds like a motor mount to me, also... Visually inspect the mount - is it leaking? Also - open bonnet, have someone stand beside the car and...
No oil temp on scangauge on 1st gen cars.... because the car doesn't have an oil temp sensor that we know of.
One-ball has served me well for 3 years... but it's a little raspy and a little droney at some RPMS... and the JCW/ RMW header combos I've heard...
