1st Gen R50 Cooper 2004 R50 Alternator Change Bad Broken

    I got a bad alternator....I gotta change the *****. Any help? If you have any helpful advice, I'll be your best friend forever...lol. But seriously...If anyone has done this task before, help would be so much appreciated as I don't have the $$ to do it. I've done many alternators before but mostly in hondas, never on a mini and from what I hear and see, it's a lot of steps to get to the thing. It's crammed in there. It's an R50 btw...2004.

    Don't get a cheap aftermarket alternator we have problems with them all the time.

    I've never done it but couldn't imagine it being very complicated so I dug into my Bentley Manual to check it out. It all looked pretty simple until I read "remove intake manifold." Have no idea why it's necessary but that's definitely where most of the steps are.
