I am looking to trade to a JCW or a BMW 135i I love this car and am actually saddened to think it could go to a new owner. Let me tell you about it I bought this in May 2009 brand new from the local MINI dealer It is a Cooper S with 35,000 well cared for miles. It came from the factory equipped as follows: Pure Silver exterior with Black checkered cloth interior Cold Weather package that includes heated front seats, side mirrors, and heated headlight washers Panoramic sunroof Automatic climate control a/c Xenon headlights White turn signals Rear fog lights Blutooth/USB music input Car has been updated with the following for the performance minded driver: Helix Front Mounted Intercooler Defenders of Speed Cold Air Intake Koni Yellow Sport Shocks NM Engineering 22 mm adjustable sway bar NM Engineering linear springs with a 1.2" drop NM Engineering Carbon Fiber Front Splitter John Cooper Works ECU Tune Custom 2.5" Remus Exhaust - no drone not loud Two sets of rims by 5Zigen 17x7 in Silver and Matte Black Wilwood BBK with FSL calipers and 13.0 x 0.81 slotted rotors All chrome trim has been vinyled or plasti dipped and JCW black front grill have been installed to remove chrome look. The chrome look can be returned easily if desired. Price of $19,999 reflects car as updated or can be returned to stock for $18,000. Not interested in selling individual parts. If you want a performance oriented fuel efficient go kart like hatchback, this is the one for you. This car can only be sold if Doug promises to quit talking about getting a BMW and goes for a new JCW. :fingerscrossed:
On Saturday, I will listen to my therapy group of Mini owners. It is not something I am absolutely positive is the right decision.
Doug, I will still love you no matter what you buy...as long as it is not a Toyota... This is one sweet MINI, and a good deal with all the mods.
Sorry Adam...I have no hatred toward Toyota. Allison had a Highlander that had over 160,000 miles on it with absolutely no problems. The problem was every time I drove it I wanted to drive it off a cliff...yeah it was the most boring thing I ever drove...so we traded it in on a BMW X3. Which in hindsight was probably a bid mistake, cuz now every time we get her a new car we are going to have to spend $50k+...:biggrin5:
Went to the Detroit Auto Show Thursday. Kelly went with me surprisingly and we ended up driving up in the blue Mini Se told me we should sell the blue Mini, keep the silver Mini and get a 135i for me. Now that sounds like a win win for me right? I will start a serious search and list the blue Mini on Autotrader next week. Then we will see if she was serious or not.
