My wife's clutch is apparently done in our 2010 Clubman. I have been feeling the clutch slipping for a few weeks now. The car has 32000kms on it. The dealer did their "inspection" and has deemed it as non-warranty fix. This is a $2000+ hit which A) is an incredible expense and something that should be covered under warranty. My wife and I have a combined experience of 40+ years with standard transmissions.

I have asked for all of the parts back, including the flywheel. I do not feel they are able to test the pressure plate for the clamping force at the dealership.

If anybody has had similar clutch issues at this low milage, what has been your experience with fighting for warranty coverage?

Is it worth while taking this up with BMW head office or just a waste of time.

Thank you for any suggestions that you may have.
