Not being a pilot, that looks fun but expensive. Stunt bi-wing? Who took the picture?

@checkers that is awesome! My younger son is working on his instructor rating. I went up with him last week in a 172. I love flying. That Pitts must be an absolute blast!
All I get to do this month is fly a sim, well I don’t even get to do that, I’ll be watching.

It' not cheap anymore. It's a lot of fun, but scares the hell out of you sometimes (take off & lands). One time I was landing at half moon bay airport and got hit with a good cross wind and went down the runway on my left main wheel and wing tip. With a little duct tape we repair we went home after lunch.

That little thing would be a had full in a cross wind!

Not really. When you know it's there, but when you get a surprise it's different. The wind was coming from the left (ocean side) so left wing down. Then it hit the hills on the right and change the flow to the right. Ask your son about setting up for a crosswind.

I used to live out that way (Had a condo at the top of the Milagra Ridge, overlooking Pacifica). I had a 1.5 hour loop I'd go driving south from Pacifica, through some wonderful twisty canyon roads that popped out near Half Moon Bay and then back up route 1 along the coast.

They have some great back country roads over by the coast. I'll tell you a store about one when I get back. (going to get my 2nd shot)
