    Only mods are:
    -RMW Cam (new custom grind)
    -RMW Shorty Header
    -450cc Injectors & Tune

Tuned today, end result was 231whp, 195 ft-lbs

    This was on stock head/stock pulley/stock JCW catback/91 octane/no meth/no nitrous

Car is an absolute blast....big thanks to Jan!

Nice - my 02 Cooper S got to 230whp - stock head, with 380cc inj, but I have meth and the older RMW street cam, shorty RMW head and Jan's tuning. Fun isn't it ?

yes...JCW head of course. Still stock for my car though...

When car's with full head/cam/header are only making 240hp and less torque on the same dyno...I'd say I'm thoroughly impressed and happy with my #! :smile5:

is that dyno before and after tune?

Do you have any baselines or impressions of where the gains in the powerband were?

cool.. it is a JCW Head. No wonder those GP's rock!!

Just a thought.. throw on a RMW Head and you will be knocking on the 260 WHP DOOR!!

Again GREAT Results Kudo's to the tuner!

Thread title updated to reflect that the head is actually a JCW Head.

This car already had a Baseline GP tune from RMW as there are 450cc injectors installed. This was just a fine tune. The base is pretty close, the tuner has a bit of experience with these models.

LOL...with an RMW big valve head, he won't be knocking on the door, he'll be running straight through it as if it wasn't even there....!!!:D:cool:

I also have a GP and was wondering what would one expect to pay for your engine mods? I am wanting to build my engine a bit but haven't really began to research what is out there.

MINIMARK.. you are so cool!! the guy is rocking on that dyno.. adding a "Jesus Head" is ( stated 30 -38 MORE WHP) He'll be .."...running straight thru it"! Really?? 260+ WHP?? that is all mighty!! with the M45?? LOL

Come on MINIMARK... then why aren't there MORE 260 WHP GP's running all over the place??

    Just saying...................................

    Thumper

PS... I gotta bump up the Jet ( Nitrous).. for those 260 WHP GP's that are all over out there.

Have you been living under a rock? Lol

....and it comes as no surprise to me that you would need nitrous to reach 260.....if even that.

No, that is the first run with a base map to scale the 450's back.

Do not have a stock run of the car...we are guessing around ~200whp though. It's a strong one...I have raced a friends GP stock vs stock and mine would pull on him every time. For two cars that were identical, and completely stock...the difference was always rather dramatic.

In regards to the powerband...this cam has added a ton more torque from 2000-2500 and up, makes the car so much more driveable just putzing around town. And when your on it...it pulls all the way up to the redline...hard.

For the gains...not much at all, considering what some people have spent trying to get the same numbers.

As stated...give RMW a call! The sky is the limit in terms of what you can do. Jan has a soft spot for GP's too, seeing as he has one of his own

Yes I have an m45 lol...

I have no doubt that my car would pull into the 270whp range with a head+meth. They are out there...

Dan's GP is at 265whp with a head+meth. I have a meth kit too from my R56, I just haven't put it in the GP yet.

And my dyno was not done on the Church's dynapak that everyone loves to say is "high reading." This Dynapack is lower reading....I know of a couple other cars with head/cam/header/pulley that ran ~240whp/185-190 ft-lb range on this same dyno you see here. GP1599 really is a freak...

    Just saying......

Matter fact the MINI standing mile speed record at Bonneville is held by a 260+ RMW horsepowered GP!!!

RMW goodness is all over the place when one goes to where the races are won and the records are set..... RESULTS by RMW!!!
