Just found out my 3rd brake light doesn't work as I tried to get my car inspected.. New it's a $105 part from the dealer.. I'm going to try to clean the terminals first and then call around to some junk yards in hopes of finding a used one... If I could get it apart I might could swap in some LEDs from
Advance Auto but it doesn't seem to want to come apart in one piece. Might try alittle harder once I rule out dirty terminals...
Anyone else run into this and what did you do??

Hardtop cars can get one off ebay for less then $45 no such luck for cabrio..

Some of the M/A sponsors like Way Motor Works and Detroit Tuned have used parts on hand. Might want to check with them.

Have you tried it with a 12v power supply while it's out of the car? Maybe it's something on the car side?

Is there a fuse for the third brake light?

Thought about checking it some how but haven't yet..
Don't think there is a fuse "just" for the 3rd brake light.. Everything else works...
I plan to give Way a call if I have to replace it..

    Thanks,

:cornut: No matter how you fix it, you should honestly consider installing a '3rd Brake Light Pulsar' as it makes all drivers behind you very aware that you are slowing/stopping. Just thinking, as long as everything is already nicely ripped out............................................................
